Nursery Places
We have a 26-place Nursery which provides both part-time and full-time places for three and four-year-olds in our excellent Early Years setting. Children can join from either the September or January after their 3rd birthday.
The Nursery classroom adjoins our Reception classroom, while both groups of children benefit from a large, well-resourced outside space.
This close link with Reception - as well as gradually involving the children in other aspects of school life such as assemblies, theme days and Masses - ensures the transition to 'big school' is as smooth as possible.
What are the costs?
All children receive 15 hours of free childcare, while some working parents may be eligible for an additional 15 hours’ free childcare, known as the 30 hours’ free childcare scheme.
If you are eligible for 30 hours free childcare.....
.....please note the 30 hours only covers four-and-a-half days in the Nursery class as lunchtimes also count towards these 30 hours of childcare. Therefore, for full-time places, there is a cost of £16 per week for the additional half-day session.
If you are only eligible for 15 hours free childcare.....
.....but would still like your child to do more sessions, it may be possible to offer additional charged sessions either in the morning or afternoon at a cost of £16 per session. If lunchtime cover is needed please add an additional £3.20.
What are the times of the Nursery day?
The morning session begins at 8.45am and finishes at 11.45am.
The afternoon session begins at 12.30pm and finishes at 3.20pm except on Friday when the session start is 11.30am.
